Your Answer Will Come When Your Willingness to Learn Aligns with Your Readiness to Hear
As I have traveled through life, I have acquired all the information I could to learn about spiritual matters. I have dissected every feeling possible to find the spiritual meaning of life.
As I was learning to listen, I heard quotes from great philosophers and teachers. I absorbed them and tested them to see how they could be useful in my life or the lives of others. Sadly, some were only cute quotes, and once put to the test of practical application, they did not hold water — at least not for me. And some? Became pearls of wisdom by which I still live.
Some teachers I have encountered have held many degrees and have an entire alphabet of letters after their names. They have given me chapter and verse on where the answers I sought could be found. They have been of tremendous benefit.
I became like a small child picking wisdom berries from a bush, filling my basket with all I could grab. I could not learn and retain all I was grabbing; fortunately, the ones I did not understand then stayed with me until I was ready to understand. I wanted to learn as much as I could as fast as I could. I wanted to be an elder without growing older—the foolishness of youth.
